Weather
Don't like the season, wait 5 minutes
Our Alpine mountain weather is temperate, but can also change fast. Here, you can check the forecast for the next few days and plan ahead for what the conditions will most likely be when you’ll be visiting.
Climate
The climate around the Bavarian Alps is comfortable enough to make this a year-round destination, even if it’s not always the most dependable. You might say the only thing that’s predictable about our climate is that it’s unpredictable. You may experience many seasons in the same day, and that’s part of the mountain charm. In general, our winters aren’t all that cold (though certainly cold enough for snow and ski), and our summers aren’t too hot, either. The average temperature in January is 3°C (38°F) and July is 22°C (72°F).
Seasonal Information
We see seasons change here, but they all bring activities and sights you can do and enjoy. We’re really in a winter playground, with lots of snowy fun all winter season. If you’re coming for winter, you’ll be sure to find snow from December through March or April if we’re lucky, though you might even get some glacier skiing at the top of the Zugspitze all year. Spring and fall bring your best bet for hiking weather, and even though summer can be wet, it’s got temperatures warm enough to enjoy a host of water sports.
